There are differences and similarities in the way adults and children grieve. This workshop will explore common youth grief reactions and strategies for supporting youths. 


  • Tour Solace House and engage in discussions regarding the developmental aspects of each space.
  • Identify the main differences and similarities between adult grief and grief in children.
  • Begin to explore strategies that can offer support (bibliotherapy, art  therapy, play therapy and peer support groups).
  • Recognize the signs of complicated grief.
  • Engage in a hands-on art activity to facilitate the understanding and healing amongst youth.
