Day Treatment Schools

Our educational day treatment schools provide individualized curriculum, small class sizes, and a variety of therapeutic options for boys and girls, ages 6-19 in grades K-12. They receive special education classroom teaching as well as therapeutic support at our schools, then return home each afternoon. Students acquire coping skills and new learning strategies that allow them to progress academically, socially, emotionally and behaviorally so they can successfully transition back to their home school district or graduate from high school with plans for their futures. Our schools are located on our Gillis and Ozanam Campuses.

Youth Educational Success (YES)

Our YES program was established in 2012 as a call to action to help our foster youth age 14-23 realize and work toward their post-secondary goals. Many of these youth face social, financial and emotional barriers that can keep them from realizing their educational abilities and goals. Our YES program provides a life coach who plays a vital role in helping each young adult succeed in attending and ultimately graduating from a higher education program.

Behavior Intervention Support Team (BIST)

After we received strong interest when others saw firsthand the effectiveness of strategies used on our campuses to help students succeed, we created our Behavior Intervention Support Team (BIST). Today, BIST trains 300 schools in 55 districts throughout the Midwest, providing customized consultations to teachers and administrators so they can implement trauma-informed practices to give students the tools they need to achieve their dreams. Our BIST Model is recognized as an evidence-based practice with data showing a correlation to improved teaching strategies and improved student behavior in schools utilizing the program.
