The KC Child Abuse Roundtable Coalition is an active group of more than 40 individuals representing children's agencies in the Kansas City metro area. Working together as a community advocacy group since 2001, our purpose is to convene elected and appointed officials from the state of Missouri, the City of Kansas City, and the County of Jackson to discuss child abuse issues with children's advocates. Intended outcomes of Roundtable Discussions are improved understanding of child abuse issues for elected and appointed officials, as well as Kansas City advocates and children's service providers. We strive to identify future strategies and next steps to address legislation and funding issues at the state and local levels that will support children who have suffered abuse.

Improving Outcomes for Children

Each year, members of the Roundtable Coalition identify several key areas of advocacy for the upcoming legislative session.

The Kansas City Child Abuse Roundtable Coalition’s legislative agenda supports policies and budgets that protect and assist Missouri’s abused and neglected children and that prevent child abuse and neglect.
