Purpose: To enhance professional practice, values, skills, and knowledge about grief theory and impact of COVID-19 on the grieving process.

Goals: Throughout the training, participants will discuss various losses created by COVID, learn grief theories, and continue to do necessary self-care while doing grief work.

Objectives: 

  • Participants will understand the multiple losses that influence the grieving process resulting from COVID
  • Participants will be aware of grief theories that impact styles of grieving
  • Participants will learn effective strategies for coping with grief and ways to communicate about loss
