KeyBank Volunteers Remain Strong and Committed to our Youth

Volunteers are at the core of the work we do. This month, we celebrate the many volunteers who have donated their time to the youth and families we serve. One organization that has made a positive impact on the youth we serve is KeyBank of Overland Park.

KeyBank’s Overland Park African Heritage Networking Group is dedicated to serving its surrounding community, and they have continued to help from a distance throughout the pandemic. Their commitment to volunteering is evident in the many hours they’ve donated to us over the years.

The group chose to focus on working with Cornerstones of Care due to a relationship already established with one of the co-chairs.

KeyBank employee, Andrea Hicks, expressed, “We understand the importance of serving a vulnerable community and know that even if only one life is changed, it has made an important impact”.

Over the last few years the group has hosted hygiene and school supply drives, participated in annual holiday gift giving programs and sponsored pizza parties.  According to Sally Cook, development director, KeyBank is always willing to step up and help.

They are truly an amazing group of people, ready for any task we need. I really appreciate all the kindness and love they show our youth.”

KeyBank employees enthusiastically plan to continue this partnership - providing care and support to the youth we serve. We couldn’t do what we do without the dedication of volunteer groups like KeyBank.
